There is a regular guy. We will call him “Joe”, although that is not his real name. He was an excellent student, went to college on a scholarship, and graduated at the top of his class. He went on to graduate school and again graduated with honors. Joe left school thinking he was never the type of guy that would fall into the trap. He did, however, but Joe figured he could start getting out of fast.
How Wrong Was Joe?
Joe left school and applied for several very good jobs. At first, the rejections seemed more than a little humorous. He concluded that it was their loss, not his. Still, he had to find work, so he took a job as a clerk in a retail chain store. He figured it would only be a short time before he would be getting out of fast now that he had the job.
He suddenly realized that he needed to pay for things like a car, a place to live, and he rather enjoyed eating, at least on occasion. In no time, Joe figured that the money from his job was not helping him in getting out of very fast. In fact, the money he was making was not enough money to even cover the basic bills he had accumulated.
He went in search of several part-time jobs, and managed to land a job at a nearby hotel. The work was easy, but the schedule was the graveyard shift. It meant that at least a few days a week he would be working double shifts combining his two jobs.
It got even worse for Joe, because his full-time employment had to make cuts to the schedule. He was forced to work day and evening shifts. It often left him working triple shifts, and sometimes even 24 hours a day. At this point, not only was Joe not getting out of fast, he was constantly tired, and began suffering from poor health.
Ultimately, in what seemed Joe’s darkest hours, both of his jobs cut him back to part-time and eventually to less than 4 hours a week each. He all but gave up hope that he would find the key to getting out of fast. He had no idea what else there was to do.
The Solution Strangely Came From an Unlikely Source
One day, Joe overheard some customers talking about an overseas teaching job in Japan. On a lark, he decided to apply for it. To his good fortune, he was awarded the position, and Joe soon left his life in America behind. The job included a free apartment and he had very few other expenses. The hefty salary, in addition to some freelance work available, allowed him to start getting out of fast, just as he wanted in the beginning.
Today, Joe is, for all intents and purposes, free. He is well on his way to lifetime financial security due to some smart investing he made after paying off his debt. Joe took advantage of all the opportunities before him to make more money and he never looked back. If getting out of fast is also appealing to you, make sure you are keeping your head up and your eyes and ears open. You do not want to miss a chance to change your life and your future like Joe was able to do!
